Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actress. She has also directed films such as Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Born into the middle class family in Los Angeles and had big dreams for her future. The mother of her children was a film buff and was able to instill a love of films into the girl. Paula was a fan of school co-curricular activities and drama was her favorite. She was a huge fan of acting with her classmates and took part in the school's stage productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced a number of plays. The actor decided that acting was her preferred career. In a summer program offered by the University of Southern California, she thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She was given a three month assignment to make documentaries for PBS. As soon as she completed the assignment in three months Her first assignment was to work in production for television documentaries. Then, she switched to producing documentaries. While she was awed by her work however, she always wanted acting roles. In the romantic comedy Hitch she starred in a minor part with Will Smith. Over the past few years she's been in a variety of movies and shows.
